SplitScript reference / print

print

Function

print<T>(message: T) -> None where T: Display

Prints a diagnostic message.

The message is forwarded to the autosplitting runtime in both debug and release builds. Use print for a chronological diagnostic log, inspect for a temporary live expression value, or setVariable for meaningful end-user-facing data displayed on the speedrun timer. A standalone inspection is entirely removed from release builds; inspection nested in a consumed expression retains its operand there.

Parameters

  • message: The value to write to the runtime log.

Effects: writes runtime state

Runtime behavior: available everywhere; synchronous

Examples
